Clara Orif is from a Franco-Scottish family. While studying both as an organist and a singer, she graduated in music theory at the Conservatoire of Paris and as a Bachelor in Musicology at the Sorbonne. Since 2020, Clara is a masters student at the Royal Academy of Music. She will take part in scenes as Adina in L’Elisir d’amor and in the Academy’s production of Dido and Aeneas.

James Cheung has given many song recitals at the Halls with singers such as Benjamin Appl, Alison Rose and Marcus Farnsworth. Last December he partnered Agata Daraskaite violin here in Beethoven’s Kreutzer sonata. He has been giving masterclasses at the Royal Academy with baritone Christian Gerhaher in which Clara Orif took part.
