Resurrecting Steve | Mahler Symphony No.2

A Concert for Stephen Kennedy and The Stroke Association

Paradisal Players Orchestra
Samuel Burstin – conductor

Louise Alder – soprano
Martha McLorinan – mezzo

Stephen Kennedy is a talented singer and viola player as well as great friend of the Paradisal Players. He suffered a serious stroke in January, and was in a coma for several weeks. Thankfully he is now making a steady recovery and is learning to walk again.

The orchestra have organised a concert for both Stephen and the Stroke Association.

Mahler’s epic Symphony No. 2. depicts a journey from awful darkness to glorious light, aptly fitting Stephen’s recovery as well as all those dealing with a similar situation.
